How transaction fees work
When a customer pays, Stripe processes the payment in your connected Stripe account and collects the Pay by Jag fee automatically. There is no separate fee invoice to pay.
- Stripe's processing fee is charged by Stripe under your Stripe account.
- Nonprofits pay a 0% Pay by Jag fee after a truthful nonprofit attestation.
- Optional JagAI chat and Tax Copilot use prepaid credits, bought separately.

How much does it cost?
Plans start at $29 per month. Every plan includes the same features and Accounting; higher plans add capacity for websites, prices, invoices, storage, and team members. A 2.5% Pay by Jag transaction fee applies to customer payments, and Stripe charges its own processing fee.
What is the Pay by Jag transaction fee?
It is 2.5% of each customer payment processed through your connected Stripe account. Stripe collects it automatically at payment time, so you never receive a separate bill for it. The rate is the same on every plan.
Do nonprofits pay less?
Yes. Nonprofits pay a 0% Pay by Jag transaction fee. The monthly plan and Stripe's processing fee still apply. The nonprofit selection is an attestation, and a false claim returns the Workspace to the standard fee.
What costs extra?
Stripe processing fees are charged by Stripe. Optional JagAI chat and Tax Copilot use prepaid Workspace credits bought separately. Outside services you choose, such as a filing provider, charge their own fees.
What happens when I reach a plan limit?
Your Workspace shows your usage against each limit. When you reach one, it points you to the Plan page, where an owner can move to a larger plan. We never upgrade you automatically.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your access through the period you already paid for. After access ends, your records and exports are retained, and you can resume by paying the current renewal.
